Mantis#1498. Thank you Melanie for an XEngine patch that addresses:

Browse Source 
The attatched patch makes the changed() event fire properly and 
lets scripts run properly. 
NOTE: All existing state files must be deleted:
rm ScriptEngines/*/*.state
